A peer reviewed book proposal including a comprehensive view of learning disabilities from medicine, psychology, disability studies, and the voice of those who live with it, offering practical steps for individuals, teachers, and administrators to take in deconstructing disability.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Urban Foresters -Â (ongoing) senior capstone project documenting the deconstruction industry including creation and maintenance of a deconstruction library. Â
Learning Disabilities and Access to Higher Education – (1999 to 2005) Senior Capstone qualitative research service learning course identifying barriers faced by students labeled with learning disabilities and the faculty/staff assisting them. This course successfully brought major enhancements to the computer systems and library at PSU.
Understanding Oregon Media, (summer, 2002) students created a television news program about Oregon media with interviews of local print journalists, filmmakers, and television producers.
Public Speaking for ESL speakers – (1998- 2004) integration and translation of non-western world views into the Aristotelian standard for speaking to western audiences.
Screenwriting/Playwrighting – (ongoing) an integration of ancient and contemporary writing theory along with scholarship in philosophy, psychology, and critical studies culminating in the draft of a screenplay or treatment.
TRADITIONAL COURSES TAUGHT
Organizational Communication Seminar – (spring, 2007) graduate research course in organizational communication/culture culminating in an independent research study.
Media Studies – (ongoing) examining the social significance of media content and institutions on individuals and communities.
Persuasion – (ongoing) Exploration of persuasion theory in human behavior. Students also examine the dynamics of power and how one can maintain personal power in unequal relationships.
Public Speaking – (ongoing) Traditional public speaking course.
Interpersonal communication (ongoing), Students explore the nature and dynamics of interpersonal communication and how one can enhance personal power and social positioning through application of theory.
Nonverbal Communication – (Ongoing) Exploration of core nonverbal communication theories culminating in application of theory to both a personal and group project.
